The Piney Pavilion - At Truck Festival, July 20th - Sunday Night 14/07/08

This year at Truck Festival in sunny Steventon, Piney hand-picked a selection of her favourite bands to entertain you at her very own pavilion… what a treat it was!

CRAFT NIGHT hosted a face painting stall.

The Sylvia Plath Charm School DJ-ed a selection of fine tunes.

The Panther Girls gave dance lessons.

The Nuns provided a guilt-free, religious experience. It was Sunday after all innit?

Let’s Wrestle injected rock ‘n’ roll mayhem fun into the afternoon.

The Bronsteins brought you their original twist of indie-pop delights.

The Research played you their new album and some of your old faves too!

Piney Gir and the Age Of Reason with the Reasonettes featured all new hits-to-be from Piney’s fresh-from-the-studio album, The Yearling. It’s not out yet so it was an extra special preview for all at Truck Festival. Lucky ducks!

Last but not least
THE WEDDING SINGER SING-A-LONG WITH MIKE NUPTIAL & THE CONJUGAL RITES – featuring special guests, lots of them, it was ace! Thanks for singing along!

Piney's new album is nearly done 12/01/08

That’s right, it’s almost done, after a year of recording in a windowless basement in Hackney only to emerge into the perpetual dark and stormy night, Piney and the Age of Reason could be seen trudging across the road for last orders at the Ork and Firkin… and now it all pays off because finally Piney’s 3rd album “The Yearling” is actually-really-truly-nearly done! Who will put it out? When can you take it home? Nobody knows! But there you go, it’s like Christmas innit?
